Maths question

Hello.

I'm currently doing some maths work from home, and realise that I tend to struggle when it comes to using the cosine, sine, sohcahtoa, and pythagoras rules.
Not so much using them, I can use them easily, but remembering when to use each one.

Does anyone have an easy way to remember when to use each of these rules on a triangle?

Edit: I do know how to use these rules. I'm more like asking how to remember when

Soh Cah Toa is the rule you use for remembering trigonometry, and Pythagorean theorem of a2 * b2 = c2? i don't think there is anything for remembering that.

In this right triangle: sin A = a/c; cos A = b/c; tan A = a/b

Sin=Soh=opposite over hypotenuse(longest side of triangle)
Cos=Cah=adjacent(next too) oer hypotenuse
Tan=Toa=Opposite over adjacent

you normally use the Pythagorean theorem if it's a right triangle, and you know 2 sides.

you use socahtoa on either right or any other triangle when you know 1 side and a couple of measurements.

basically if there are no angle measurements and 2 side measurements known, then you use the theorem.

Thank you! Someone finally gets what I'm asking.
