Lucid Dreaming

I've really been trying to make it work lately, and I'm not having much luck.

This morning I was trying for the MILD method, but it took me forever to fall asleep, and once I did, I dreamed about something completely irrelevant and had no control.

The last two times I've tried the WILD method, I freaked out when I started to fall and woke back up right away.

Any suggestions from anyone who can do it?

If you have no idea what I'm talking about, look up "Lucid Dream" on Wikipedia or HowStuffWorks.

I sympathize. I tried to start Lucid dreaming about 2 years ago, but I could never even wake up from my dreams and remember them, so I was really rather screwed as far as that was concerned. I HAVE done it accidentally a few times though.

I haven't lost my mind, I have it backed up on a disk somewhere...

I have tried Lucid Dreaming many a time but when I try I can't do it. When I don't try I just automatically do it without knowing to. Have you tried not thinking about it? That can work sometimes if you aren't actually trying to do it.

I do it on a regular basis now, it just depends when I have a topic I want to think about. If not I just fall asleep and forget about it for the night.

Do you understand or am I talking rubbish?
