I just got out of a long relationship.  I started drinking a little more heavily.  I went to a bunch of parties.  I went home with a few girls.  None of these encounters resulted in actual sex (I'm still a virgin), but let's just say we got pretty far on each occasion.

summer approached, and I felt like I wanted to stop being that guy.

Our classes end the last week of April, because we have trimesters.  My buddy threw a party to end school in the proper fashion.  The night before the party, we all went out to a bar.  Low and behold... I see my ex's best friend.  She has a really cute, innocent look to her.  And I told her this, because I was drunk.  I also invited her to my buddy's party.  She never goes to parties, so I didn't expect anything.  

She came to the party... we chatted a lot... and snuggled some on the couch watching several episodes of How I Met Your Mother after most of the other people left. We start chatting online.

Cinco De Mayo rolls around... and I get invited to an impromptu Cinco De Mayo/new apartment party.  Very small gathering.  This girl is there again.  We chat some more.  I have some Coronas.  She gives me a ride home.  After she gets online... I ask her to come back over for some movies.  She actually comes back over.  We stay up all night watching movies.  Nothing happens, just snuggling.

A couple weeks pass, I invite her over a couple more times for movies... she comes.  Probably... two or so after the Cindo De Mayo Party...  I go in for a kiss.  I definitely felt something there.  We kiss a couple more times.

June comes around... we get into heavily making out... and she's staying over every other to every night.  I woke her up in the morning for June classes.  

July rolls around... she goes back to her hometown for the first week, to get some teeth pulled.  During this time, she also wrecks her car and destroys her phone, which she lives on.

We lose some contact because of this... I thought she might have been ditching me, but my ex was also complaining about not hearing from her and even got mad about it... (We all work together).

Some more time passes... We haven't really hung out since July... and we're finally talking like we used to on facebook.  At one time... I ask her what the situation is... to which she responds that nothing has changed.  I'm not sure how to take that because I'm not exactly sure where we were to begin with.  

It is now in the middle of August... and we still haven't kiss since, probably, the very beginning of July... and we haven't hung out since then either.  We see each other at work, and we chat online, though.  

I've tried beating around the bush... trying to ask what is going on with "Us".   I've pushed for her hanging out with me again, to not much avail.  

Just this week, I even put up one of those stupid "Girlfriend Application" things on MySpace... and she responded... adding "FYI: I think I win."  to the end of it.

This seems like a definite arrow pointing that she likes me... but I still haven't really heard much else from her this week.

I'm thinking that she just might move slow with these sorts of things.  Or she might have reservations about being best friends with my ex.  I did ask her at the beginning of things if she wanted me to back off because of the situation with my ex, to which she responded, "I'm a big girl.  I can make my own decisions."

Is it bad timing?  Am I being played?  How should I proceed...
