i believe in God but not Jesus.
this doesn't make sense to me. how can you believe in God but not Jesus? God is the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit - three persons in one. you cant have one without the other - because one is the other. the trinity.
i believe in a god but not in the bible stories and how jesus came to earth and shit. thats a load of bull .
but don't you see how it all goes together?
i don't believe in that though! if i don't believe that jesus came to earth then for me there is no trinity shit. so no, it does not go together for me. its just one God. that's all. no bible, no worshiping, just a guiding light.

I am so shocked to see, with such lack of knowledge, that these comments are made. How many, I wonder, have even read the Bible. And to those of you who believe that there is no God, ask yourself this: What if the Bible is telling the truth, and based upon the decision made to the extent of salvation, does the deciding factor in where I spend eternity ulitmatly matter? The Bible says plainly, when you die you will spend eternity either in Heaven or in Hell. The choice is yours... Is it really worth waiting to find out that you are too late? Look before you leap, in this matter of salvation, but also in the matter of Does God really exist? I found out, and Im telling you, its real... More real than anything the davil will "candy-coat" and send your way. And I know there will be these immature "I wanna be funny" replies, but what really matters is the decision you make. Thats all I care about! Thanks, Corey

Atheism is anything but "trying to be funny". It's actually a pretty serious stance on reality. Google for "criticism of Pascal's Wager".

the idea of god is made up. its just legends and myths. it teaches good lessons, but i don't understand why someone could believe in everything the bible says, and think that something like greek mythology is a bunch of bullshit.

Well I picked the "I am not sure", it's really hard to tell. The ongoing paradox of balaining the divine/super-natural and the metaphysical/natural views of life can be quite confusing. It is just too hard for me to comprehend or acknowledge the many different perspectives and views of gods and God. I for the most part think that gods were created to explain the unexplainable at the time of conception.

Yes but I'm not so sure on the one god thing, I reckon their is one energy but it is channeled through different gods for different purposes- does that make sense or do i just sound stupid?

Here's my thing. I'm not going to lie to everyone and say that I've read every page of the bible, but I've read the majority of it (enough to get me by) and I believe that the stories in it are just that-- stories. Fables, that are meant to teach a lesson. In reading it, you learn morality and lots of life lessons. You learn right from wrong, you learn how to make the best decisions in life. It sounds like you're saying that you "believe" in all this because you are afraid of the consequences of NOT believing it. Seems like you are afraid to explore your thoughts and those things have been impounded into your brain until you believe nothing else. I think that if there is a God and Jesus Christ, He would be pleased that some of us are opening our minds and choosing what we wish to believe. We do NOT have the answer and we may never have it, either. To say that there's only one entity that created us, and that entity is God himself, you're basically sentencing all other people that do NOT believe in that particular God, to Hell. So why would a good Christian want to do that, hmm?? Think about it.
