You obviously know nothing about pet stores if you think puppy mill dogs are more expensive than ones from a breeder.

And you obviously know nothing, thinking that the pet store can afford not to charge that much. They have to split their profits with the millers and the brokers. They cannot afford to charge less for a puppy. And there are enough ignorant individuals such as yourself who are more than willing to pay $1200+ for a puppy that will most likely grow up with horrible health problems.

And, to top it off, you know where these puppies come from, and you still condone the pet stores. Learn a few things about responsible breeding before writing a post that condones breeding facilities that kill animals.

I would never spend that much on dogs simply because I am not a dog person. But I would say my parents got more than their money's worth from these dogs. Especially if you compare it to the puppy we got at a pet store when I was a kid. The one we were forced to put down because the humane society said it was a dangerous dog and was full of worms when we got it.

You never get your money worth from a pet store when it comes to livestock. I use pet stores for food, supplies and then fish (and only because I personally know the woman who owns that store and know where the fish come from).

I in no way condone pet stores. Saying they are good for fish or hamsters though, is completely acceptable.

But if you want a mut, with no traceable history, higher chance of illness, highly stressed from being in a store, go for it.

Perhaps you should learn to read before you continue to say I condone pet stores, darling.

You mean my dogs with champions for parents, family histories we can trace back very far, perfect or little illness, and basic training included is not worth the money? Please. We even pretty much knew exactly what these dogs would look like before they were even born.

A good breeder would never allow their puppies to go into a pet store. So no, they do not get them from good 'sources'.

Like I said, you could do well from actual research. It is a well-known fact what pet stores do. They hide it themselves now because more people are finding out what puppy mills are. They will never give you the name of a breeder, because they know better than that.

If you chose to just completely look away from these sites because you think they are 'bias', then that is your own problem. There are no websites on the internet, and no truthful articles anywhere that will tell you that these are good places...so yes, this information is non-bias and is widely distributed in the dog world to people who don't seem to know any better.
