Relationships are nowhere to be seen.  College is fast approaching and to be honest I'm scared of it, missing friends, etc.  I don't want this (HS) to end because I like these people too much.

College is quite a terrifying prospect! Are you moving away for college? I can understand this completely, having been in a similar situation only last August. It is really scary and the idea of moving away from friends and whatnot is really sad and scary, but you'll be ok. Really you will. As time passes you absolutely will make new friends, strong friendships, and you'll have friends both at your new college and your old friends from highschool. If you make the effort to keep in touch and catch up whenever possible for you all then it can absolutely work out. It's scary, but highschool will come to an end and you'll all start your lives away from it but it will come together. And even if you aren't moving away for college but friends are, things will still work out because you'll start your own new adventures in the work place or whatever and there are new people to be met everywhere.

Really though, even though it's really scary, you're going to be ok. You'll get through it - everyone who leaves highschool does. You'll be fine! I wish I could help you more with this, but all I can tell you is that from experience, fear is expected and understandable, but it's soon replaced by excitement of what awaits you in all these new things. After the initial shock of leaving highschool it gets better. It really does.

Prom is coming up quick, and I have no idea what to do, I obviously have no date, and no clue as to who to ask.

Is a date absolutely essential? I don't know how it all works over in America, but surely there will be other people there who haven't got a date either? If you haven't got a date by the time prom comes then please please don't let it ruin your fun! You can still have an absolutely fabby time without a date. And if having a date is essential, well, why not just seize the day and ask someone! Someone you've got your eye on, someone you think you'd get along well with, someone you fancy spending the evening with. It's your last year, you're all going your separate ways and whatnot, why not just take a massive deep breath and go for it?!

This leads me back to the relationships.  I really like this girl and it apparently turned out to be nothing.  I've been so goddamn depressed lately, I can't even explain it.  At night in bed when I'm alone, I almost bring myself to tears because then I don't have anything to occupy myself with and I think about everything.

I'm really sorry things didn't work out with this girl. Bummer, right? You'll pull through though. There are other girls and if you're absolutely sure that it won't go anywhere with this particular girl then try not to let it get you down too badly. It's really sad, yes, but there are so many other girls out there, girls who will want you just as much as you want them. I know that doesn't help with your feelings right now, but sometimes it can really help to just bear that in mind. You'll be ok, keep reminding yourself of that, yeah?

Are you busy enough during the day? Do you do any sport activity, see friends, anything like? Something to occupy your time, so you're not sat up all hours of the night thinking about things and feeling really down. Like you said yourself, school is almost at and end now and I'm sure you don't want to go off regretting anything you didn't do and things like that. If there are things you want to do but are a bit worried or scared about it, think about how soon highschool is going to end and how you must just embrace it all now and enjoy it whilst you can!

I know that change is always a really scary thing and in so many ways it can be horribly depressing. I do think it'll get better for you eventually though. Try sharing your fears and worries with your friends and family - I'll bet your friends are feeling pretty similar to you right now! I know all my friends and I were absolutely terrified about what was going to happen to us all after HS, but now, 10 months later, we're all still just as close and we're all doing perfectly fine! Just as you will.

Getting the jitters is fine, just try not to let it rule your every day life and drag you down too much. Enjoy things are they are now, appreciate it how it is now and savour all your memories. Really though, you've only got bigger and brighter things to come. Take care of yourself, yeah? If you need anything at all, feel free to send me a message whenever. :]

-------
to turn the darkest room of suffering
to a greater state of pain
don't tell me that's behind you now, don't greet me
don't meet your dying blind
