Okay I am in an arguement between these two careers. I mean I am a guy who's always LOVED doing artwork. I'd like to do digital animation or graphic design.

You see, the average animator gets 48,000 per year. That'd be $4,000 per month. My father, who's a taxi driver, makes more than that.

Anyways I could choose to be a Bio-Chemist and work on making new types of medicine or recommend people medicine if I could take advanced biology and math classes in grade 12. I have been interested in science and chemistry and all, but I am five times more interested in art.

Which one should I choose? Should I go the money way, or the dream way? I don't know if there really IS enough demand for Animators...HELP

I'd say do the thing you love. It's never a good idea to choose something purely based on the salary it'd give you. You'll be doing it for the rest of your life so do something you'd be happy to do and enjoy doing.

Would you rather do a job you love and have little money, or do a job you don't mind and have more money?

Money isn't everything... it is possible to be happy on very little money and if you love what you are doing, surely that is better than making more and being miserable?

In my personal opinion happiness is more important than money, and it's never too late to change career if you decide that actually your decision wasn't the right one.

At the end of the day, it is YOUR decision and you should choose whichever you think will make you happiest in the long term. Bear in mind that you can always retrain in the future - it is NEVER too late to learn.

It may be worth finding out if you can do work experience in both professions to give you more of an insight into each job. Try speaking to people in each profession and see if you can find out what the demand for people with those skills is like at the moment (bearing in mind it may change).

Good luck in deciding... and I'm sure it will work out fine whichever you choose. =)
