Let's be inspirational and stuff right now.

Share your most rewarding experience of helping someone on LiveWire.

I love hearing these things. They're very motivational and remind us of the good we can do.

I hope I get at least one reply. I don't want to have an unloved topic.

Go team go.

Right bare with me whilst i think about this! I will need time to think!
*You won't ever go unloved chick*

I have to say it's when I've just read an eHelp i know i can help the person, and the advice just flows and seems so right.

I think the best thing though is recognition for my advice. I've had some of my mutual SL friends send some pretty sweet messages when I've needed the lift (I have moments where i think my advice is shit and not good enough lala) So i look at them messages and think about what they have said, it helps.

Well.
I was "newer" to this site.
and, I talked with a member for along time. They told me a friend of their's was suicidal. They were talking to them, trying to get them not to do it. I told them that they weren't supposed to help suicidal people. She refused.

I contacted that member and  helped them and tried to get them out of suicidal state.

They then signed off for 10 minutes. The longest 10 minutes of my life. I thought they did it..

He signed back on, we talked, etc.

I still help / talk to this member everyday.

I'd love to say it was us who saved his life, but I think he just needed some words and encouragement.

I can say, however, if it wasn't for LiveWire, he wouldn't be living today.

I can tell some stories, not as exciting as iwashere85 's, but still.

I was talking to one member for a long time trying to help him with his suicidal thoughts... I'm still very happy when he logs on, even if we don't really talk anymore.

I met (online) a lot of interesting people from e-help and we help each other, and it feels great.

One girl had been raped and she was afraid to tell anybody. I wrote her a long eHelp about how she wouldn't get in trouble and how she really had to tell, and she told her grandmother. They called the polie.

I'm really proud of her for learning to get over her fear. If it wasn't for LiveWire, she probably wouldn't have told, and this boy would have gotten away with it.
