My friend's mom just passed and even though I didn't really know her mom I feel it's important that I go to the service to support her. Actually, the funeral is Saturday morning but I'm going to the wake which is tonight. I know there will be an open casket which I'm really not comfortable with viewing, but what else should I expect at the wake?

Everyone says people crying ... to be honest, every funeral I've been to - people have been teary eyed, sure, but mostly there was a lot of story telling and happiness.
