Well for those that dont know i fix comptuers out of my bedroom for money and it makes quite a bit... but i just got done with one a minute ago so i thought id post about it for my fellow geeks out there.
HP Pavilion, Win Xp Media Center Edition
2 GB Ram
500 GB hard drive
Dual core althlon 64 processor
The problem was it wouldnt connect to the internet, and had no sound coming from the speakers.
So i went to HP's website and download drivers for the ethernet pci card, and for the realtek hd audio sound card. It was a 20 minute fix. its DONE
another 80 dollars in my pocket

Nice! I had the same issue with my computer, we had to clear the harddrive and start over. Then we couldn't connect to the internet. So my dad signed up for this service full of geeks (like you, haha) and they fixed it basically the same way. Did you really make that much cash though?
