i want my external hardrive to run under the loction of k: but its appearing as L: as all these removable drives have appeared after ym brother loaded some stuff on to the pc how can i chaange the location of my drive without removing the other drives

That's one of the options that it gives you when your computer first recognizes the drive. I don't think you can change it now, unless you reformat and reinstall any drivers it takes to run the hard drive.

dont wanna format it as ill lose everything on it it just my itunes cant find my songs anymore now it in a different location and i dont fancy spending 14 hours sorting it all out again like last time

You can rename the drive itself. (by right clicking on it under "my computer"). I think that will give you the ability of naming something else L:

it worked thank you had to remove the removble one but it works now saved me 14 hours
