This part isn't part of the poll, but rather part of the thread itself, and what I'd rather read in your replies. What do you think is worse, in general, without getting too much into it with the whole "it depends" thing; physical or emotional abuse? Why?

And, if you don't mind saying, how were you abused? Obviously you don't have to say.

My mom, after she re-married, and my step-father have emotionally abused me to the point that my depression got so bad that my medicine dosages have been increased three times. They don't think they have anything to do with it, at all. They've insulted me constantly for years, ever since their marriage was finalized, but as usual, they are above me and do nothing wrong. They're your typical "holy god" complex holders.

&young discipline (belts/spankings when you're a kid) and yelling don't count as abuse in my book. That's just parenting, but i'm not going to have kids anyway. worlds' too fucked up..

But I think emotional abuse is worse, because it hurts even after when they're not there.  I mean, you can put ice an a bruise, but not on emotional scarring.

I would've preferred phsyical abuse because then I could've brought the fucking cops out on him.  Plus it's just easier to dismiss for me.
