Can you actually be fucking allergic to crying?

Whenever I do...(which thankfully isn't a lot), my eyes sting like hell. I'm not talking prickling here - like serious fucking burning and stinging sensations. They go pink and a bit swollen, for hours on end.
I don't have brilliant eyes anyway...

Could I actually be allergic to tears?

It could be the salt or something in the tears

It is possible, ask an Allergist. There are some people that are allergic to the sun, and to water. I have no doubt people can be allergic to crying as well.

I don't get how people are allergic to water.
Isn't like 3/4 of the human body made of water?

I highly doubt it, there might be something on your skin that's causing the swelling. There shouldn't be anything in the tears to cause that because the tear ducts go past tissue that it can be absorbed into which would have caused bigger problems if it really is an allergy.

In any case I'd talk to your doctor and get an appointment to find out what really is wrong.

allergic to the sun.

My mother's 'allergic' to the sun. She has lupus. So, she's not actually allergic, but her getting a tan could kill her.

Is it possible for people to be allergic to their own tears, cause isn't the stuff that's in tears, what's on your eyes all of the time anyway?[If that makes any sense at all.]

Stop saying that the salt expulsion is causing the stinging, retards. The excessive amount of tears produced when crying is no different than the tears that are produced all day to moisturize your eyes. If s/he was allergic to tears then it would be painful to blink.
