At my school, basically every girl in my year uses fake tan. They look bright orange, and you can smell the tan lotion on them when they walk past. I don't know why, but i've never been into the whole "bright orange" look. I prefer to be pale.

But, whenever I mention what shade of foundation I use, people are always shocked. I've been told that I should get a tan because I would look better, and that all pale people should have tans. When i've told people I like to be pale, they always look at me like i'm crazy.

Is being pale really that bad?

nah your supposed to use a foundation exactly the same as your skin tone, it makes you look younger and healthier!
dont use fake tan it just looks disgusting and FAKE! makes you look like a twat, so yeah stay pale :)
