my parents think that too.. they think the only teenagers that do are like the complete abusive drug taking teenagers like the ones you see on brat camp, it doesn't help that my brothers completely suck up to them so it's like I'm the 'bad' one even though I'm not even bad

I'm sick of my parents acting like I am the most terrible person alive. While I was growing up they treated me like crap. Now, they expect me to be amazing at school, good at sports, take extra classes, and listen to the shit that they vent at me because they are stressed about their own lives. It is wrong for them to project their insecurities on me. "Rebelling" does you more harm than good, though. It just places you into a false stereotype; a wall that prevents you from solving problems with them. Argue rationally with them, but don't yell, plead, or display anger. <p> If that fails, a quick hook to the jaw gets my car keys back pretty quick.
