I just read his POW letter from immediately following his release from prison and I just wondered why he wrote

"Dear People"

I think that is the baddest ass shit ever, he just gets released from prison he's like 18 years old and he writes to his family with "Dear people."

Also it's clear he believed in how regrettably untouchable he was even at that young age, as you see him write "Many died, but not me" several times throughout the letter.

I love that guy.
