My parents are stressing me out horribly lately.

I just got a new job, and they already are robbing my money from me. All that they can think about is getting money from me, since they have none of their own.

By the 25th of this month, I have to pay them $630 in car insurance, plus money towards utilities and rent.

I can't move out, because I have no money, and would be just incapable of doing such a thing at this time.

I'm just so sick of them not being parents towards me. They think that just because they waste all of their paychecks on drugs/alcohol, that I am going to fork over all the money they need to be comfortable.

I just wish that they would realize what being a parent really means...Just for once in my life.

tell them whats your thinking sometimes it best to stand up and feed them a taste of something either that you can move out with a friend, and or get a councilor to talk with your parents

I have one, but in PA, if you are under 18 your parents have to be a cosigner. If they wanted to, they could take money right out of it...

Who ever said that I took their money? They have no money. All they provided me with over the years were the necessities. The things you are forced to provide as a parent.

they didn't HAVE to.
you as their kid should help them out, stop being greedy.

Ha.. You know absolutely nothing about my life or the situations that I am going through and have been through. For you to call me greedy makes me laugh. It shows your lack of understanding.

And yes, when you have children. You are then forced to provide for them. Thats what a parent does legally.

It's easy to take other peoples' problems and frame them in our own life's experiences.  But what comes out of that is often unhelpful, if not ignorant.

LostInTheClouds is right; you know nothing about her life.  Nothing she has posted in this thread could lead a reasonable person to conclude she is greedy.  She's looking for support; after all, this is a support forum.

Oh. I sympathize with you. But more specifically, empathize. So, cheer up and realize: fake it till you make it.

That means be the bigger person and give them the money. Do what they say and don't take it so personally if they aren't giving you the paternal love you yearn for.

Use that loss to give you strength to be a better parent to your kids (thats if you want them) and just to be a better person.

Life is unfair. Believe me, you're not alone when it comes to immature parentals.

Hang in there and remember: fake it till you make it. :)
