I think that when a couple decides to be the legal parents of a child, that's adoption.

I think it's great. Lonely children need homes, and those who adopt, should *hopefully*, be able to provide them with that secruity. Also, the world is over populated as it is, so instead of reproducing, I think it's more selfless to raise someone else's child.

I was adopted and it didn't kill me. I don't think it kills many people but that's just my opinion.

I think it's good. I was adopted, and I'm thankful for that. My parents have given me a great life that my birth mother wouldn't have been able to provide for me. I sometimes wonder what things would have been like if my birth mother had kept me, but I wouldn't change what happened.

Adopting a kid isn't the same (for a mother) as having your own kid (such as going through pregnancy).
