Same with me. My cat gets on the back of the couch and stands on my shoulder...dogs do too (although it's a lot funnier when the dogs get on my shoulder than my cat).

I am having a white mocha thing from Starbucks, and my kitten just has to come over and investigate what it is. Once he is satsified knowing what I am having, he either sits right at my feet looking at me, or sits in a corner and stares at me...
either way, I am stared at and it makes me uncomfrtable.
