To those of you who take pills, for anything whatsoever, that give an effect that you actually feel or need (ie, not anti-depressants and such things like that, or daily drugs, more like pain relievers or pain killers, or things along those lines), how do you take it? This goes for whether it's over the counter, prescribed to you, or something you just take to get high.
I ask, since I know a lot of times, people will chew them to get the effects as fast as possible, but I'm the exact opposite, and people often find that weird. I'd much rather swallow my pill if I'm looking for a high, because I enjoy the whole ritual of waiting for my high, I guess. Even if I have a headache, and take my prescribed medicine to abort my migraines though, I cannot chew the pill for some 'faster kick-in'. They are too damn bitter or disgusting.

I don't think you're suppose to chew up medicine like advil or aleve. That can probably  hurt your stomach.

It shouldn't, it dissolves there to be absorbed anyway.
But, you'd have to empty out any gelcaps. Many of those pain relievers are sold that way these days, rather than in pill-form. Don't think anyone would want to chew up gelcaps.

I haven't been able to bring myself to chew one yet...Even though I'd get the high that much faster.. I would just feel like an addict of some sort or something.
