So while Mike and I were talking about my bloodwork last night we got talking about baby names again. I was having a blood pregnancy test, among other things, and the pregnancy test did end up coming back negative. I am NOT pregnant right now... We have actually decided to give up my favorite girls name (Scarlett) and give our first daughter a different name. We don't know if we will tell family once I am pregnant, because I don't intend to know what I am going to have until birth. We decided that we both love the name Meika. We don't know how we want to spell it LW, so that is where you come in. How do you like it spelled. If I have not listed a spelling that you have seen/like, please add it. Meika is a normal name. Just because you don't know it, doesn't mean it isn't. It is a common German girls name.
Good thing you live in Germany, right? Why don't you just name her Rashida? That's popular in Africa.
The difference, I am not African. My husband is German. A German man having a child given a German name is not odd. If we were African we may have considered an African name. ALSO, Meika is common in the US as well, seeing as there are so many cultures miked together here. That is like saying we shouldn't name our son James, because it is an English name and we don't live in England.

Yeha, I know. :P I just meant, that I didn't realize the name was for a girl. If you planning on naming your future daughter that, I'd go with Allison's spelling.
