This is one of those 'I can disprove decades of scientific research that used billions of dollars of technology and some of the most intelligent scientists in the world with a few paragraphs i found on a random website' things. Uninterested.

Those "intelligent" scientists have already shown how unintelligent they actually are.

Yeah, going to the moon, creating a self-sustaining space station that can support life, sending remote controlled robots on mars, who can't do that, right?

Haven't heard the term before, maybe you could teach me what it is?

its instead of the heat changing the temperature it is used up in a change of state. For example if you had a block of ice at -20 degrees celcius. And have a graph showing heat and time. If you start heating the block of ice, the temperature of the ice should rise proportional to time, i.e. every 5 minutes the temperature increases by 5 degress for example. But when the ice reaches 0 degrees, it stays at 0 degrees for some time as the heat is used up in melting the ice rather than increasing the temperature. So I'm applying that law in physics to the earth, and wondering if that is the case? (Not just ice caps, but other geological features would absorb the heat such as the permafrost, &c., so on a global scale it could take a long time without seeing a rise in temperature while in fact the same amount of heat is comign through). Again, I'm just throwing it out there.

So you think that the same scientists that work on going to the moon, create a space station and send remote controlled robots to Mars are the same scientists who claim that the earth is warming due to man? You need to do a little more research. Post edited at 11:51 am on Mar. 5, 2010 by Forever Angel

NASA doesn't all agree on global warming in help to man? Which divisions do not?

Most of the scientists there aren't into studying climate change, they are into going to the moon or Mars or building space stations, etc. Different fields altogether from climatology.

They work hand in hand, satellite technology and technology used to gather climate data, and the like. Don't look at it on an individual level(it's unrealistic, no one can know everything about every subject), it's a system built of intelligent people, and it works damn efficiently.

Lol, but they are not climatologists, dear. I don't care how intelligent they are, if their field of study is astrophysics, they won't know how to interpret data about climate. Educate yourself.

I think the point he was trying to make was that scientists have almost universally gifted intellect and tend not to be disproved so easily by a few simple paragraphs on a disreputable website. Although his point is fallacious, as being intelligent doesn't equate to being right and it could very well be proven right that the climatologists are wrong with one with one sentence much less an entire paragraph, it does highlight the immense evidential undertaking one has to encumber to provide even a basis for disagreeing with scientific scoundrels.
