I prefer rock over anything else.
Mostly, I like gothic, alternative, and metal. What I personally like more than anything is Evanescence, Nightwish, Within Temptation, Disturbed, Emilie Rose and Lacuna Coil.
I also like some classical music as well. The two I've really listened to is Nox Arcana and Midnight Syndicate. Of course, I do like some of the more well-known music as well. If it sounds good to me, I'll listen to it.
In my opinion, rap is really only good for the instrumentals. It's something that I could dance to. I'm not fond of the lyrics at all.

If ur excuse for hatin on rap is it rips on women or it's repetitive or it lacks creativity or whatever shit u might be throwin, Try Common or Talib Kweli to start off with. you guys probably turned on ur radio, herd som hurricand cris or sum shit and decided rap sucks. listen to those two mayb the roots too and change ur mind.
