1. Poor people don't vote in elections
I was delivering leaflets for the election and this is the second round where I deliver to houses that didn't respond the first time. On one street of about 25 houses, 3 have registered to vote. On another street round the corner which is for slightly better off people, everyone had registered except one house. This depresses me. 2. Vertical letter boxes are the bane of my life
Seriously, what is the point of vertical letter boxes?! They make it difficult to post anything and hurt like a bitch when they snap shut on your hand. 3. Don't even attempt to deliver to dogs
If a dog is barking behind the door when you try to deliver, back away! They will try to bite you, or smash their way, probably head first, into the door. If the dog is in the garden... don't even look at it, they can smell fear!! 4. Small children should die
The amount of times I wanted to shoot small children for shouting "oi gingerbits" at me..... damm them all to hell. 5. Take protection
From the rain!! :P
Paper and wetness is never a good combination.

I live in manchester too, this bit is pretty poor. There's flats on this delievery route that I've been told not to go into because they're so dangerous.

I've done leafletting, and i share your pain about the vertical letterboxes. Seriously, there's no point at all. I also hate the really really stupidly small letterboxes, the letterboxes which are really strongly spring loaded, and the letterboxes which are down by the floor.

Eurgh the ones on the floor!! Don't get me started. I had to do a whole street of them with two boys staring at my bum everytime I had to bend down.
