Cats are carnivores.
Most commercial food is shit.

PM me, I can give you a list of food that is exceptional for your cat, and the proper diet you can feed on your own (will save money).

Eh actually, here, I'll post it here.
These are good pet food choices for dogs and cats alike.

Life's Abundance (I know the man who created this food, and it has soared to being one of the top brands in the country for those who aim to feed a healthy pet food)
Flint River Ranch
Canidae/Felidae
Instinctive Choice (by the same man who created Life's Abundance)
And my favourite, the natural way: raw meat and bones. All meat is to be fed raw, as well as the bones. They will not harm the animal unless they are too small, or if they are cooked. Organs must be fed too. This, in the long run and if bought from a good butcher looking to sell his scraps, almost always turns out to be cheaper than buying dry food.

You're welcome.

Some foods to stay away from, for the record:
Science Diet
Iams
Purina
Meow Mix
Whiskas
Friskies
Fancy Feline

Vets promote some of these and swear by them, that is because they are paid to endorse them. Money, in the end, is everything. Plus, vets are not trained much at all in nutrition. When they are trained, it is by a representative of a certain pet food company.

Hehe, no worries. Honestly, most people feed these foods to their pet.
The fact is though that many animals are extremely unhealthy. People think it is okay because "oh well he's alive and fine!" but, often, the food just does that: keeps them alive. They are not as healthy as they should be though.
Animals fed a raw diet, or high quality food, have improved coats, healthier teeth, longer lives, less odor, better (and happier) temperaments, they are just overall much healthier.

Unfortunately, a lot of people would just rather settle for sub-par health.
