I was talking about passwords with my friends, and my one friend was like, "You'd like my password because you're a South Park fan."  And then he told me about the episode that he was referencing.  But he wouldn't tell me the password.  I didn't want to know, honestly, but I wanted to know what he was talking about.  So I looked up the episode and easily guessed (and confirmed) his password.  I immediately signed out after confirmation, but now I'm really curious about some things.  I don't know.  I don't want to risk pissing him off or letting him found out that I went on his account.

Probably the only way that I would be able to refrain from going on his account would be to tell him that I figured out his password.  But I think he thinks and I know our friends think that I like him already.  So this would probably just further it and also make him suspicious of me.  Also, I think he's about to do something stupid, so I'd like to be able to get on his private messages if need be.  I don't know.

Should I tell him?

you should tell him, its his privacy that you should respect
and u dont need the temptation
to be honest its not a huge deal that u actively tried to guess his password im sure he wont jump to conclusions about your feelings to him ...
just say you were bored, you think youve guessed it and tell him like 3 possible ones
dont let on that u actually tried to get onto his account
