I know it's a lengthy one, but definitely worth the read. I used to have the utmost respect for John McCain, but his behavior in the last few months has been despicable.

What happened to our American Heros?

Oh, and if you're just going to come on and bash without reading and ending your statement with MCCAIN/PALIN '08 (Forever Angel and whoisabs), please go elsewhere.

I just found it be an interesting and revealing article. Read and discuss.

...Calling McCain a Maverick would be like calling Sigma from Megaman X a Presidential Nominee.

Hmm interesting. I don't blame him for giving in under torture a bit, though. I'm sick of the Maverick thing for sure.

The only thing "maverick" about McCain is he manages to sell himself as a "hero" in spite of all that.

Funny story. I was late to AP gov today, and the teacher asked me why i was late.
I responded that "I was out being a maverick".
He accepted my excuse.

I don't think you'll find anywhere that McCain has ever referred to himself as a hero. But...

Colonel Bud Day on John McCain
(Colonel George E. "Bud" Day is the most decorated service man since General Douglas MacArthur.
Day has been awarded the Medal of Honor, Air Force Cross, Distinguished Service Medal, Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Purple Hearts, in fact, more than 70 medals and awards. He calls John McCain a hero, and thinks voters deserve to know more about his Hanoi Hilton cell mate.)

"He just doesn't trade on that. I think he feels that it's wrong to trade on being a hero, but he is."

McCain used to be a real maverick in 2000.
He's sold his soul in an effort to win.

You didn't even read the article, did you?

What's the point of replying in this topic if you won't even give the truth...  er I mean the other viewpoint a chance?

I didn't say CALL. I said SELL. You don't have to call yourself anything if you give the right vibes and appearance. In fact if you pretty good at it you can get OTHERS to beat your drum for you. That looks even better.

So FA, you admit to not even looking at information that might taint your holy messiah's image?

Glad to see that you have the right to vote. Wow.

I don't have the right to vote for President, and neither do you.

Where did I "admit" I didn't look at your link? And why did you lie about having "the utmost respect for John McCain"?
