I'm not really sure if it matters much whether or not he's lying when he says these things. If he is lying, he shouldn't be our President. If he isn't lying, his 'naive' ignorance of those things raises even more questions.

Like, how could he NOT know? Everyone talks about how intelligent he is... would things like this be one of the indicators of that intelligence? And how much more are we going to find out that he's ignorant about? We don't know enough about the 'real' Barack Obama to elect him to the highest office in the land.

No, he was not "cleared" of any charges. He was guilty of ALL charges and has never denied it or shown regret. Improper 'investigation techniques' caused the charges to be dropped.

he is not a criminal by the legal (and only empirical) sense of the word. i don't really give a shit if you think he should be in prison, hanged, exploded or picking up trash by the side of a highway.

more to the point, ayer's not running for president. obama is. the two of them worked briefly together but the facts show that there is very little in the way of a relationship. if they were "pals" as vice-president hopeful cunty mccuntymint puts it, you'd expect them to see or talk to each other more often than briefly running into each other on the street where they both live.
