Ok, should I tell my roommate that I'm moving out right before we leave for Xmas break, or move all my stuff out after he's gone, and not say anything, and when he tries calling me, not pick up? I need a good way to go about this, and I need help in knowing what to say. I don't want to be a bitch, but I'd like this guy to feel a little bad for himself.

I had a post that I made yesterday, and added this question, but no one saw it I'm assuming.

Some more help would be nice. Thank yaaa :)

We're roommates in a dorm. I caught him talking shit about me to his other friends. He didn't have anything to say about it, so we just moved on. There are two other people we're both friends with, but I cut ties with them because they were spreading rumors about me. My roommate said that the only reason he keeps them around is because they fill a void. I just can't understand why he wouldn't stick up for me since we are/were best friends and I helped him out SO much last year when everyone abandoned him. Why would it matter to him if he loses those two friends that apparently are only there to fill a void, to stick up for a REAL friend? Plus the kid is always over-analyzing, he's on anxiety meds, gives out his prescribed pills to people, and he just lost all my trust after all of this, and I don't want to have anything to do with him anymore. I don't even know what to say to him before I move out. I don't want to sound like a dick, but I want it so that he feels a little bit bad for himself.
