my bf wants either a cat or dog for xmas i know he will look after it as he 22 and has the money and time for it. he gonna ask his parents first if it ok should i get him a cat or dog and should i let him pick or should i just turn up boxing day (not seeing him xmas) with one

kittens are way better. they come housetrained, don't require hardly any training(besides not to jump on the counters) and they aren't so slobbish. remember the animal shelter has lots of unwanted animals

thats where i was gonna get one as they are cheaper there than a new born plus those animals needs a loving home after such a bad one

ive had a dog and a cat in my lifetime and imo dogs are so much better, cats are more independent and keep to themselves...dogs are always with you and idk if hes like the hunting type or anything like that but theyre good assistants when it comes to hunting

and theyre easy to train
