I'm graduating valedictorian and am required to give a speech at graduation. Let me know what you think. Ladies and gentlemen; family and friend; educators and students; all you other people, my name is John Q. Sample and I am a deaf/blind student. Because of this and other medical problems, I've faced countless challenges on my journey through high school and on my journey through life. Though my journey through life is only beginning, my journey through high school has come to an end. I can't say it's been the most enjoyable of quests, but if I had to go through it again to be where I am now, to see my parents bursting with love and pride for me, I'd do it in a heart beat.
I like to think I've inspired people along the way to where I am now. Even as a small child, that was all I really wanted to be: an inspirement to others. I wanted people to think, "Hey, if that deaf/blind guy can do it so can I!" Because God created all men and women in his glory and through him we can all do great things.
I guess when it all comes down to it, it scares me that God has bigger plans for me than I had for myself. But God is my Lord and Jesus is my king. I want to be a servant to God; a piece of the bigger picture. So let's see where God takes me and how he uses me for his ultimate plan. In Jesus' name I pray, I dream, and I succeed. Amen.

Too much religion dude. Also, it sounds somewhat cocky. "I'd like to think I'm an inspiration to others"? Almost sounds as if you're trying to sound like the triumphant victim. Don't do that. It is cliche.
