Does it seem like good horses are going for cheaps, and do you think it will stay that way?
Horse prices usually drop during the winter months, but prices seem to be lower than normal, maybe due to the shitty economy.
Or are there just a bunch of junky horses that arent worth much?

the horse market has definitely dropped... the reason? the closing of the slaughter plants, DEFINITELY. The market may go up a bit come spring, but it will never return to what it was before. Good horses are going for VERY cheap at the moment.

that's good to know. I'd like to get a new horse in a few months, but I've enough of the "bad apples" and would like to get a good horse that I dont have to fix.
