I want to be able to download torrents, but I'm assuming the university who provide my internet are blocking something, because I can't get download speeds above 1kb.

If you can figure out a way for me to download torrents, I'll give you 850 shiny points.

Have you tried forcing the encryption of traffic and moving the port to something that is used for legitimate activity like 443?

It pisses me off because the UoN block all torrents, that's including legal ones and I can't even download torrent files. It's a crock of shit.

What torrent program are you using?

Utorrent.

They're not blocking much, and the stuff they are blocking seems to be pretty bypassable (up to this point). Par example, irc was blocked, but mibbit works.

They've probably just got a first year computer sciences student handling the whole network.
